Welcome to the web portal for Dr. Joshua Marshall's research group in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Carleton University. Our principal focus is on the development of control and navigation technologies for robotic vehicles that aim to improve the efficiency, safety, and utility of operations. We are particularly interested in mining systems and planetary rover applications.

Effective April 30, 2010, Dr. Marshall holds the position of Adjunct Research Professor at Carleton University and is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science atQueen's University. His appointment there is to The Robert M. Buchan Department of Mining with a cross-appointment to the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
Opportunities
Dr. Marshall is accepting applications by email from exceptional students wishing to pursue graduate studies in mining systems and robotics at Queen's University on May 1, 2010 or later. Applications for graduate studies with a co-supervisor at Carleton University will continue to be considered only on a case-by-case basis.
